Tahoe Season Finale!

Labor Day weekend was supposed to be the Wells Family Finale to our Tahoe summer. We had plans to camp for the weekend with friends at DL Bliss State Park. Although the weekend started off with a great day on the beach, we unexpectedly had to shorten our stay as mommy developed flu-like symptoms later in the afternoon...not the finale we were hoping for...

Since we had to leave Tahoe earlier than expected, poor Finn was reduced to casting in the road as opposed to fishing on the boat.

By Sunday afternoon, mom was was feeling better and rallied so the family could go to the Folsom Aquatic Center with our friends the Simkins.

Dust off the tube!

Another beautiful weekend boating on Lake Tahoe! We were glad Janae drove up the mountain to spend the day with us! Although Finn was happy to have Janae aboard...he was rather disappointed that she did not bring his BFF...Trevor! In the afternoon...Janae dusted off the tube and took it for a spin! Unfortunately, we have been unsuccessful convincing Finn that tubing is fun...maybe next time!

Just another weekend in paradise!

We had another amazing weekend in Tahoe! On Saturday, we spent the day at Baldwin Beach. Although we have had a few distant sightings of bald eagles...this past weekend, one flew right over our boat and landed in a pine tree just off the beach!
Sunday, we headed up to the coves again. On the way, we observed the "Tahoe Flyer". They launch and land the hot air balloon from a boat in the middle of Lake Tahoe. Once we arrived to our destination, the boys had a great day! Not only do I have to worry about Finn climbing the boulders...now Chet is obsessed. He gave mom and dad a workout doing laps! They also had a great time swimming in the lake...Chet even jumped off the back of the boat!

Of course, it would not be a weekend at Tahoe without fishing or catching crawfish. What's for dinner dad?

Climbing the Island

This past weekend, we anchored just off of Emerald Bay Island. Greg and Finn hiked to the top of the island to explore the "tea house". Dad also took some time to snorkel around the island looking for treasures.

Finn's big catch of the the day...a large mouth bass!
