When I was pregnant with Finn...one of his nicknames was "fishing buddy". Well, that's exactly what his dad got...a fishing buddy. Finn probably caught 30 fish on Saturday alone...mostly bluegills. He's obsessed with fishing and loves competing with his dad. Chet is certainly entertained with fishing at times...even stuck his head in the fish bucket to get a closer look...but often finds alternative activities to keep himself busy.
Despite the cost of gas...we decided to take our first trip up to the northeast corner of Lake Tahoe, which is actually in Nevada, not California. It is our favorite destination on the lake. The round trip is approximately 40 miles. The shoreline is composed of sandy coves...surrounded by boulders. Finn often spends the better part of his time climbing the huge boulders, which makes his mom quite nervous. This location is also home to many sunbathing nudists...only in Nevada! As always...I included pictures from our weekend adventure!
Our boat in Emerald Bay Hope everyone had a fun and safe holiday weekend! As mentioned in the previous posting...we towed the boat to Lake Tahoe for the remainder of the summer! It's always nerve wrecking towing it up the mountain and driving through Echo Pass at 7500 feet!
Except for a few hours of wind and clouds on the 4th...the weather was picture perfect. We were excited that our friends "The Vandy's" made the trip to spend a few hours on the beach with us. On the evening of the 4th, we took the boat to the southeast corner of the lake to watch the fireworks! As always...an amazing time on the lake...we look forward to next weekend!
